More good news about the Nutley Rotary food drive for the NFSB food pantry! Thanks again to Barbara for connecting with Steve DiGregorio who has been spreading the word.
Thanks to Steve, our Girls Soccer Team collected 38 bags of food for the NFSB, and a donation of $3500 was made by the State Chapter of the Elks to be used for food!
Coach Mike DiPiano made both of these donations happen!

You may have noticed that we are calling the Beefsteak the Spring Fundraiser, just to leave our options open and think outside the box. Of course, if COVID allows, we will have the Beefsteak in April as usual.
We have tentatively scheduled our Paint and Sip fundraiser for Tuesday September 15. More info to follow on what the project will be. Cost is $40 per person with $10 back to our club.
Looking forward to our meeting on September 3, and I will do my best to make this hybrid meeting work, at either the Kingsland or the Owens Park Gazebo. Members who cannot attend in person, for health or work or any reason should be able to dial in if they would like to participate. Final confirmation will go out asap. We need a GOOD TURNOUT for Commissioner Petracco next week, both in person and on Zoom!
Mark your calendars now for the Rotary District 7475 Conference taking place on May 14-16, 2021
Our District 7475 is one of only two districts in our Zone in which 100% of the clubs have donated to Polio Plus.
The World Health Organization’s African region has been certified wild polio-free. Now 5 of the 6 @WHO regions – representing over 90% of the world’s population – are free of the wild poliovirus. Only Afghanistan and Pakistan remain; we are "this close"
Nutley Rotary Food Drive for Nutley Family Service Bureau
August 2020
Please take a photo of your donation and then drop off behind the Nutley Family Service Bureau at 169 Chestnut St.
Send the pic to me or upload it to our
Facebook Event! Canned Beans, Tuna, Chicken, Peanut Butter & Jelly, Hot & Cold Cereals, and Soups are always in need. Grocery gift cards for the purchase of staples are additionally welcome.
Our Polio Chair for the zone John Kranb is going on a very long Motorcycle Ride for Polio. He is a Polio Survivor - which makes this so much more admirable. He has a goal of $10,000 to be riased for Polio Plus.
Every donation that a Rotarian makes will be given to their Foundation Account - so money spent here - helps him acheive his goal and helps him you to increase your PHF status. Click on the link to see his story and his fundraising goal - see if you can help in any way.
Statement from Rotary International
At Rotary, we have no tolerance for racism. Promoting respect, celebrating diversity, demanding ethical leadership, and working tirelessly to advance peace are central tenets of our work.
We have more work to do to create more just, open and welcoming communities for all people.
We know there are no easy fixes and that challenging conversations and work lie before all of us. Rotary’s strength has long been our ability and commitment to bringing people together. We will tap into that strength now as we stand with those who are working for peace and justice.
Rotary will do our part to listen, learn and take action to ensure that we continue to contribute to making positive change.
