Dear Members,

How is everyone doing with our 50/50 Scholarship tickets? I have sold 5 so far, and I know that Linda and JoAnn are doing a great job with their sales. Please share how you are doing and what is working!
Remember, if you need more tickets, contact Sal at home: 973-235-1279 or cell: 973-704-5775

We had a very successful cleanup at the Van Riper House! Thanks to Bob Peters who fixed the garage door which will keep the house cleaner as no critters can get in now! James and I were also there on Rotary's behalf, sweeping and clearing out the space. Dante Intindola, Van Riper President, was very appreciative and said it was the best workday so far, and we made the most progress! Thank you to Barbara Hirsch for providing refreshments, and to Eileen Conte, potential member, for stopping by to check us out and sharing some valuable historical info about Van Riper.

Linda and I are participating in the Essex County 2020 Opioid Awareness Walk, along with Claudia, the Pace student who has contacted us. We are keeping it simple so I encourage you to join us! We are meeting at 10:45 at the Better Life and Recovery and Wellness Center, 80 Bloomfield Avenue in Caldwell. It's only a 15 minute walk to the end of the walk where there will be an outdoor luncheon, entertainment, a Rotary table and speakers etc.
Please join us, you can just help at the Rotary Info table and enjoy a socially safe lunch. No need to walk if you prefer not to. Let me know asap if you can help and what your Tshirt size is! Thanks!
Let's support our Pampered Chef fundraiser! Every little bit helps us continue to help others!
I have many items from PC, but I always manage to find something I need in their catalog. Pampered Chef products are well made and durable.  Please click on the link, order and spread the word!

EVENT GROOVE: Speaking of fundraising, our District is considering working with Event Groove to help us with our online fundraising. PLEASE watch this video and share your feedback so the district can make a decision on cost/benefit for Event Groove:

We are almost at 700 likes on our Facebook page! Please remember to keep liking and sharing our posts on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter!

Statement from Rotary International

At Rotary, we have no tolerance for racism. Promoting respect, celebrating diversity, demanding ethical leadership, and working tirelessly to advance peace are central tenets of our work.

We have more work to do to create more just, open and welcoming communities for all people.

We know there are no easy fixes and that challenging conversations and work lie before all of us. Rotary’s strength has long been our ability and commitment to bringing people together. We will tap into that strength now as we stand with those who are working for peace and justice.

Rotary will do our part to listen, learn and take action to ensure that we continue to contribute to making positive change.
